Scattering resonances of large weakly open quantum graphs

چکیده
In this paper, we consider a sequence of open quantum graphs, with uniformly bounded data, and are interested in the asymptotic distribution their scattering resonances. Supposing that number leads our graphs is small compared to total edges, show most resonances close real axis. More precisely, same as square-root eigenvalues closed obtained by removing all leads.

Equivalence of resolvent and scattering resonances on quantum graphs
We discuss resonances for Schrödinger operators on metric graphs which consists of a finite compact part and a finite number of halflines attached to it; the vertex coupling is assumed to be of the δ-type or certain modifications of it. Using exterior complex scaling on the graph we show that the resolvent and scattering resonances coincide in this case.
متن کاملQuantum Resonances in Chaotic Scattering
This letter summarizes numerical results from [1] which show that in quantum systems with chaotic classical dynamics, the number of scattering resonances near an energy E scales like h̄− D(KE)+1 2 . Here, KE denotes the subset of the classical energy surface {H = E} which stays bounded for all time under the flow of H and D (KE) denotes its fractal dimension. Since the number of bound states in ...

متن کاملNumerical Study of Quantum Resonances in Chaotic Scattering
This paper presents numerical evidence that for quantum systems with chaotic classical dynamics, the number of scattering resonances near an energy E scales like h D(KE)+1 2 as h ! 0. Here, KE denotes the subset of the classical energy surface fH = Eg which stays bounded for all time under the flow generated by the Hamiltonian H and D (KE) denotes its fractal dimension. Since the number of boun...
متن کاملFundamentals of Scattering Theory and Resonances in Quantum Mechanics
We present the basics of two-body quantum-mechanical scattering theory and the theory of quantum resonances. The wave operators and S-matrix are constructed for smooth, compactly-supported potential perturbations of the Laplacian. The meromorphic continuation of the cut-off resolvent is proved for the same family of Schrödinger operators. Quantum resonances are defined as the poles of the merom...
